Guided Mini Journal: Belly Birth Reflections

This guided mini journal is intended to help you process your experience, embrace your strength, and find peace in your unique birth story. For many of us, reflections can play an important role in the postpartum healing process.

If you’ve had a C-section, it’s common to experience a wide range of emotions: strength, grief, resilience, joy, or even uncertainty, sometimes all at once! All of these feelings are valid.

This mini journal is a lightweight tool that allows you to begin exploring your birth story without feeling overwhelmed. It’s one page with a few questions to help guide your thoughts. As a new mom myself, I know new moms are busy, so this is a quick way to get started on your journey of reflection—whether you have a few minutes to spare or need a simple way to begin processing. Take your time, or just jot down a few thoughts when you can!

Why Reflecting on Your Birth Story Matters

Journaling allows you to:

✨ Acknowledge your emotions without judgment

✨ See the strength in your body’s journey

✨ Honor the experience for what it was—uniquely yours, powerful, raw and real

✨ Find words to share your birth story with your child one day

Guided Mini Journal: Belly Birth Reflections

🖊️ What are three words to describe your belly birth experience?

🖊️ How do you feel about your birth now? Has that changed over time?

🖊️ In what ways are you proud of your body and your baby?

🖊️ What do you want to tell your baby about their birth?

You can use your own pen and paper to jot these down or download this (pretty!) PDF here. The PDF download is free, no email address required.

Taking time to answer these questions can be healing. Your birth story deserves to be honored—not compared, not rewritten, but embraced as part of your journey into motherhood.
